AnuragJha Creations (AJC) is a dynamic production house founded on the principle of innovation in storytelling. Over the years, we’ve created films, shows, and music that push creative boundaries and resonate with diverse audiences.
Our work spans multiple genres — from intense crime dramas to supernatural thrillers and heartfelt romances. Alongside mainstream projects, we also experiment with indie formats and collaborations with fresh talent.
With a passionate team, advanced post-production facilities, and a strong distribution network, AJC continues to grow as a brand synonymous with creativity, originality, and impact.
AnuragJha Creations (AJC) began not with grand studios or heavy cameras, but with a dream and a phone camera in 2018. The first frame was captured inside Hislop College, where a young team came together—director Anushka Tasgaonkar, actress Grusha Kaur, and founder Anurag Jha—to create a heartfelt cover of Tera Fitoor. What started as an experiment soon turned into a phenomenon, crossing 400,000 views and proving that passion could outshine resources. That single spark ignited a journey. From one music video, AJC evolved into a canvas of stories, each project carrying the same spirit of raw creativity and relentless belief in cinema’s power.
In 2019, AJC took its first leap into short films under director Sanjana Rai, delivering powerful works like Mazhab and April’s Tune. Soon after, the journey led to Mumbai—the city of dreams—where founder Anurag Jha stepped into the director’s chair, shaping the creative vision of AJC with a fresh perspective. From there, the team crafted a series of aesthetic short films, each reflecting a unique voice and visual style. Eventually, AJC returned to its roots in Nagpur, carrying with it the experience, growth, and cinematic ambition of the big city.
AJC made its boldest move yet—shifting from YouTube to the world of feature films, choosing cinema screens over digital uploads. It was a gamble, but one that defined the company’s destiny. Founder Anurag Jha helmed AJC’s first feature, Tallukh, a film that not only crossed 7 million views but also earned three times its budget on Amazon Prime Video. Yet, even this success was soon surpassed. Later the same year came Teri Diwali Meri Christmas, a heartfelt story that matched Tallukh’s profits and cemented AJC’s place as a rising voice in independent cinema. The momentum didn’t stop there. While continuing to experiment with short films, AJC ventured further with its third feature, DRE7MS, which found its home on MX Player, expanding the studio’s reach to an even wider audience.
After realising the power ratio of the market and lack of opportunities for
independent films in Nagpur, AJC started it's own OTT Platform - AJCPlay.
With AJC's first TV Show - The Fantasy Element, the curtains were drawn from
the much anticipated app. It contained all the projects by AJC since 2020 and
more from filmmakers of the city.
In 2023 AJC created Shinigami's Box: Origins a francise which became widely
known in the city especially in the film fraternity. AJC continued to make
short films for AJCPlay throughout 2023-2024.
In 2024, AJC entered a new era by opening its very own studio space—a creative hub where every operation found its home. More than just serving AJC’s productions, the studio also opened its doors to other filmmakers and creators, becoming a collaborative ground for stories to take shape. The facility was designed as a complete ecosystem for cinema: Studio A housed dubbing and editing suites, Studio B offered a dedicated shooting stage with a makeup section, and a private theatre provided an intimate space for independent screenings. With this milestone, AJC transformed from a production house into a fully equipped creative powerhouse.
ecognizing the imbalance of the market and the scarcity of opportunities for independent filmmakers in Nagpur, AJC took a daring step forward—launching its very own OTT platform, AJCPlay. The curtain rose with AJC’s first original series, The Fantasy Element, marking the arrival of an app that became a home not only for AJC’s projects since 2020, but also for the voices of emerging filmmakers from the city. In 2023, AJC expanded its universe with Shinigami’s Box: Origins—a franchise that quickly gained recognition within the city’s film fraternity and beyond. Carrying this momentum, AJC continued to produce short films throughout 2023–2024, solidifying AJCPlay as a stage for fearless storytelling.
